Older Kids Ski Free Season Pass With Power Pass

One of the best deals for free skiing with kids is the Power Pass. This is an incredible deal where kids ages 12 and under can ski free at 8 different resorts in the US. We absolutely love this deal and have used it several times with our kids. Kids 12 and under ski free at Sipapu NM, Pajarito Mountain NM, Purgatory CO, Hesperus CO, Arizona Snowbowl AZ, Brian Head UT, and Nordic Valley UT. Included with this pass is free biking at Spider Mountain in Texas. This is an excellent deal.

This is also the only free season ski pass that older kids can use. If you have a child who turns 13 this year, make sure to sign them up for the pass while they’re still 12 so that they qualify for the pass for this season!

Best of all, Grandparents ages 75 and older can get a Free Super Senior Season pass, so they can ski for free with the kids as well!

Squaw Valley Kids Ski Free

We love skiing Squaw Valley and it’s easily our favorite Tahoe ski resort with kids. Kids 4 and under always ski for free at Squaw Valley, and they’ll be right at home. Squaw Valley is full of little rippers throughout the week, so it’s the perfect Tahoe spot to ski for free with kids.

Heavenly Kids Ski Free

If you’re looking for more places to ski with kids in California, check out Heavenly on the south shores of Lake Tahoe. At Heavenly all kids 4 and under ski for free.

Colorado Kids Ski Free Deals

The best kids ski free deal in Colorado is the Epic School Kids Colorado Pack. With this pass, kids in grades k-5th get 4 free days of skiing at either Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, or Crested Butte. Best of all, if your child is new to skiing, this includes a first-time lesson as well. We love this program and it’s great because it’s open to all kids, even if they’re not Colorado residents.

NOTE: This program deadline is usually in the fall and if you’re new to the program, you must sign up in person.

Our other favorite deal for kids to ski free in Colorado is the newly expanded Colorado Passport program, where kids in grades 4th, 5th, and 6th grade get 4 free days of skiing at every ski resort in the state, after they purchase the $59 passport. I guess it’s technically not free, but it’s an incredible deal to get kids skiing all over the state of Colorado for cheap.

Arapahoe Basin Kids Ski Free

If you stay at a Keystone Lodge for two or more nights, kids 12 and under ski for free. Kids 4 and under ski for free at Keystone.

Loveland Kids Ski Free

Ski Idaho offers a 5th and 6th Grade Ski or Ride Free Passport Program to students in the 5th and 6th grades FROM ANY STATE.  The Passport allows students in 5th grade to ski or ride up to three free days per resort and students in 6th grade to ski free 2 days per resort. There are 18 resorts participating in the 5th grade program and 17 participating in the 6th grade program. The program costs $18 to enroll in.

We are completely biased, but we feel like skiing with kids in Utah is better than any other place in the country (we literally moved here because the skiing is so amazing). Not only is is really easy to access (tons of resorts within 30 minutes of the airport), but there are some crazy good deals on Utah family skiing.

The Ski Utah 5th Grade Passport allows students to ski or snowboard at every resort in Utah for free on three separate days. The 6th Grade Passport gives one free day of skiing or riding at all 15 resorts in Utah. The 5th and 6th Grade Passport also includes discounted equipment rentals, lessons, and other fun things for family members. The cost of enrollment in the Utah Ski Passport is $45. You can enroll in this program if you are a resident or not.

Registered fifth and sixth graders receive access to 15 resorts throughout the state, including Alta Ski Area, Brighton Resort, Beaver Mountain, Brian Head Resort, Cherry Peak Resort, Deer Valley Resort, Eagle Point, Nordic Valley Resort, Park City Mountain, Powder Mountain, Snowbasin Resort, Snowbird, Solitude, Sundance Resort and Woodward Park City.
